About Melvin Took:
His real name is Peter Greenstone and he lives in Austin, Texas. Peter has been singing and playing guitar for many years but only in recent years began seriously working on his own music, writing, performing, and engineering all his music by himself in his home studio. Peter gets his inspiration from many places. Musically, Pink Floyd, David Bowie, Peter Gabriel, Beck and numerous others had quite an impact on him, particularly in how they all found such wonderful ways to cross genres and get to the heart of things in such unique yet emotionally familiar ways. Much of the inspiration for Peter's songs comes from his own personal experiences but also from observations of others turned fiction, often from existential crisis.

Professionally, Peter works as an animator and visual effects artist for film and television.
