Kourosh Eusebio

Kourosh has trained through individual tutoring in classical piano between the ages of 5 and 17. Since then, he has continued on his own honing his improvisational and composing skills. In recent years, he has taken a stronger interest in electronic and synthesizer accessible soundscapes. He has gradually developed a unique style of play that involves jazz, pop, classical and ambient elements. He feels music to be an integral part of the development of cognitive and emotional health.

His main artistic avenues include the Chilluminati and Psymbolic groups in the Midwest US as well as via the game Second Life.

Albums written and produced have included Ontogeny (2005), Fidelio (2003), The Color of Tea in Sunlight (1999), and The Beckoning of Agora (1998). Films soundtracked: The Air We Breathe in Pilsen by Thomas Yun. Clouds, Cars, and Shady People, by Andy Barker Sweatshop Wear is Unfair, by Larry Dunkin/ LaborBeat. Works have been presented at the 4Arts Gallery, Landmark Art Gallery, the Fast Forward Film Festival and Chicago Indymedia.

In RL, Kourosh is a practicing child, adolescent, and adult psychiatrist working in the Chicago-land area. He works both in an inpatient setting at a community hospital and also has an outpatient office. He is in the process of learning psychoanalysis.

He has also been known to play with and study computers and games. Particularly of interest is the interface and intermingling between technology and humanity.
