KelvinBlue Oh, or Kevin Allen Navy (Composer, Guitarist and Lead Vocalist), founder of Knavy and the Blues On The Run Band was born and raised in Houston, Texas. Kevin began playing guitar at the age of 12 when his mother bought him a guitar to keep him directed away from street life. From the beginning, Kevin seemed to be a natural at playing chords and creating songs while mimicking songs on the radio. He moved to Abbeville, Louisiana where he continued with his love of music and the guitar by starting his first band "Blues On The Run." This six piece band had a horn section that complimented the rhythm section led by Kevin's Blues guitar. For five years the band performed at parties and local night spots.

In the early 80', Kevin moved to Breaux Bridge, LA and met Andrew Espree. Andrew was the leader of a local band called "Bo Jacque and Zydeco Hi-Rollers." Mr Espree asked Kevin to try out with the band. This was Kevin's oppurtunity to try something new. He auditioned, was hired and was introduced to the Zydeco sound. Kevin was a member for about 2 years and recorded on their album "My Name Is Bo Jacque" in 1982.

Later Kevin joined Morris Le Day and the Zydeco Playboys (Eunice, LA). He toured in Florida with the late Warren Caesar Band (Lafayette, LA). In the mid 80's, he toured in England with Joe Walker and the Zydeco Players (Lake Charles, LA). Returning from England, in 1991, Kevin moved back to Houston. There he joined Step Rideau''s Zydeco Band. For over five years with Step, Kevin toured many U.S. cities and recorded three CD's.

Then, in 1996, he began playing with Leo Thomas and the Zydeco Band (houston, Tx). In 1998, he joined Jerome Batiste and the Zydeco Players. There, as lead guitarist, he further cultivated his Zydeco-Blues Sound.

Kevin's dream was to assemble a group that could be produce a quality sound that was unique... a sound that was not the norm... a sound that is a combination of Zydeco, Rock and Roll and Blues. With "Knavy and the Blues On the Run Band" he has found that sound... ...he calls it "Zy-de-Rock"! (copyrighted)
