| Billy Thunders
Billy Thunders performs original roots rock on vocal and acoustic. His music is heard regularly in Second Life and is available on CD from his website at www.cletis.com.
Billy Thunders is real life singer, songwriter and producer aka Cletis Carr. His first major band, Sneakers, toured the U.S. with acts such as Tom Petty, Huey Lewis, The Knack, Joan Jett and Nick Lowe, and received a gold album award for their debut release, 'Ear Cartoons'.
He then went on to a successful solo career that saw him release five albums and tour the globe. Now based in Sydney Australia, Cletis is an award winning writer / producer and regularly plays with members of AC/DC, Rose Tattoo and The Saints. His song, 'What About You' became a 2002 chart hit for country-rock singer Brooke Leal and was featured over the closing credits of the hit Aussie film, 'Danny Deckchair'.
A retrospective collection of the best of his previous albums is due shortly, and he is busy writing and recording a new album set for release in early 2007, to be followed by a European tour.
Discovering Second Life while recuperating from an injury, Cletis found himself intrigued by the development of the inworld music scene, and is now looking forward to participating in this exciting new (virtual) world, as well as that 'other' one.
